IT Restructuring

Our union has provided information to help IT employees navigate the new IT structure. The new structure was implemented on July 1, 2019.

All IT employees should understand the new structure, documents necessary for appealing reallocation decisions, and important deadlines.

DETERMINE IF YOU WANT TO APPEAL: If your IT Position Description (PD) does not reflect the full scope of your work, you may want to appeal the decision. If your IT PD does accurately reflect the full scope of your duties, but you do not agree with your new IT job class determination, you may want to appeal. Please consider talking with your union council representative ([email protected]) before deciding whether to appeal. It would be wise to review the facts with your union representative before deciding.


30 Days: Appeals (Request for Director’s Review) must be filed (received by the Director's Review Office) within 30 days from the date on your allocation determination letter. Contact the Member Connection Center for assistance with filing your appeal at (833) 622-9373.

90 Days: You have 90 days from the date you file your appeal to submit your argument along with supporting documents. If you need assistance, contact the Member Connection Center. If you filed an appeal prior to July 1, you still have 90 days from July 1 to submit your argument.
